Dear Fellow Rotarians,
I received great news on Friday from Rotary International, the official confirmation of the merger of RC Greater Dandenong and RC Endeavour Hills. The team has worked very hard to bring this merger into fruition. I like to take this opportunity to thank Con, Alan , Anthony and other members in getting the merger done in such a short time. Please see attached Charter Certificate RC Greater Dandenong Endeavour Hills and letter of approval for the merger.
I am very excited and honoured to lead this merged clubs and looking forward to work with all club members who have the common goal as volunteers to provide services to the local as well as international communities. Rotary changes people life and members are people of action. Rotary also opens opportunity for members to learnings, experience and many other things that we may never have dreamt of doing before. Let us all work together to make our club one of the best clubs in District 9820.
It is a great responsibility for me to lead the club of 40 over members and I am sure I can count on your full support to make Rotary year 2020/2021 a fun and successful year to remember. The Covid-19 pandemic has put restriction and disruption to our club in term of meetings, social events and delivery of services to the communities. We can still use our creativity and technology like Zoom to conduct meetings and planning until we can meet face to face again when restriction is over.
We will be having a hybrid Changeover on 7th Jul at 6:30pm. A small Changeover will be held at a restaurant for the Board directors and via Zoom for the rest of the members who wish to attend. I hope you can join in to witness this very important event in the Rotary Calendar . An invitation to the Changeover will be sent out soon. When the restriction is over, we can have a function to celebrate the merger of the two clubs for all members and their partners to get to know each other and foster lifelong friendship.
