PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
'A reflection of our week'
I met with our Interact Club again on Monday 10th August, which was another productive meeting.
The session was spent actively planning their 'fundraising day' on Thursday 10th September.
Our club will be providing a Sausage Sizzle to assist with their fundraising efforts for
Emergency Care Packages for those in need.
It is also 'RUOK' Day.

On Thursday night we had the pleasure of hearing
our Satellite Club member
Vivekananda James speak about his proposed project in Northern Sri Lanka.
Viv visited Sri Lanka in 2024 to begin establishing what the actual Community needs are. He has since been liaising with a Rotary Club in Sri Lanka regarding
some urgent needs which have come to the surface.
The presentation brought about a great deal of productive discussion,
the necessity of a partnering club in country and Community assessment, as well as seeking support from neighboring clubs.
We also discussed the possibility of obtaining necessary equipment from 'Donations in Kind' and what the club requirements are for this to take place.

MUNA at Lyndale Secondary College
On Friday night a small group of us assisted with the Theatre set up in preparation for Saturday's event, thanks to our club members Peter Faulkner,
Ken & Lynn Tam and Colin.
We all enjoyed being a part of the set up crew.

The Model United Nationals Assembly on Saturday was a great success, we were all extremely proud of our Lyndale Secondary College debating team, who were exceptional, and all Year 9 Students.
Thank you so much to Hans Van Dyke and Anne Diez for joining Colin and I at this inspiring event.
This was the second event, due to
this year's MUNA was divided into two groups, with
one being held in Warragul a couple of weeks ago and of course the most recent at Lyndale Secondary College.
