Dear Rotarians,
I hope you've all seen the email from Secretary Leanne which was sent on Friday confirming the settlement of the house at 1 Seamons Court, Endeavour Hills after many long months of hard work, working bees and some fun of course.
If you haven't already read the email, please check it out.
The week was extremely busy with our Rotarians hard at work and having fun along the way.
On Monday, Colin, Ben, Leanne & Graeme were assisting with the meal service at St. James Anglican Church for the very grateful disadvantaged community.
Then on Tuesday, we had 31 people attending our meeting, thanks to our members and our friends from Rotary Club of Casey for joining us at this very informative meeting.
Tanya Faulkner and Michelle Lewis spoke about their experiences as Rotary Exchange Students and also spoke about their passions.
We heard what it takes to become a 'body builder' but I'm not sure we any members who would be willing to take it on.
The RORPS playground harvest was well attended on Thursday. Thanks to the dedicated and hard-working team; our 'Friend of Rotary' Mel Bell, Howard De Zylva, Hans Van Dyk, Ken Tam, Brian Ashworth, Con Meehan, Terry Valentine, Wayne Jenkins (RC Mt Martha) and the contractors.
Colin and Leanne went down to check things out and take some photo's of our 'Rotarians at Work'. This playground is going to make some children in Cambodia very happy.
The Casey Operation Newstart Graduation Ceremony was held on Thursday afternoon and was attended by Leanne, Colin, Ben Plunkett (RC Casey President) and David Anderson (RC Berwick President).
To finish off the week, my new coffee machine was the lure to Hilton Laminating on Saturday.
Martin finalised the work on refurbishing the trailer and along with Phil, Hans, Alan, Howard, Neil, myself then Colin joined us for coffee and some painting, we worked on the trailer, set up the Marquee and the new banners.
Be sure to join us on Tuesday night, we have something special planned, Ken & Margaret McDonald will be attending, along with Martin & Wilma Pater.
Don't forget to RSVP and bring along your $5 to pay at the door!
