A wonderful visit to the Andrew's centre last Tuesday night. Judy and her team put on a wonderful dinner for our members and visiting Rotarian Brian Woodman from the RC Springvale City. Endeavour Ministries is a non-profit charitable organisation which seeks to provide for those who are in need for whatever reason - the lonely, the depressed, the ill and those in financial difficulties. The Andrews Centre provides many services including crisis food, clothing, financial assistance, a food co-operative, community outings and events, legal and psychological counselling, support groups, no interest loans and a community facility for other non- profit groups. It runs an Opp Shop, Endeavour Emergency Houses, Monday and Thursday meal services and a Community Garden. President Leanne presented Judy a donation of $2000 from the All Holden Car Show and another $500+ from the meal proceeds. |
