The Gateway Newsletter
Edition #1
12th July 2026
President's Message:
Welcome to the New Rotary Year.

Thank you to all Rotarians, partners and friends who joined us at our Changeover Dinner on Tuesday 30th June.

It was a fabulous night at which we were joined by the wonderful leaders in our community and Rotarians from other clubs.

We had the opportunity to hear about the local services in Greater Dandenong, and how they provide for, and meet the needs of our disadvantaged community.

It's been a very exciting and busy 12 days of our 2026-2027 Rotary Year.  Therefore, I'm pleased to say that we're off to a great start.

As we work towards the transformation of our club, to the vibrant and active club, which many of us have known in many years gone by, I urge each and every club member to think about how they would like to contribute to being a part of our 'team' moving forward.

All members will become a part of a committee of their choice which fulfils the passions and skills of each and every individual.
Our plan is to acknowledge all achievements and new initiatives throughout this Rotary year in which we will 'CREATE LASTING IMPACT'.

To begin with, we are heading towards a change of night for our meetings, from Tuesdays to Thursdays, and also the frequency and diversity of how we meet.

I will be discussing our options with Amit, the functions Manager at the Dandenong Club.
We may have a change of the room in which we conduct our meetings; I hope to have a definite answer by Tuesday.

Please take a look below, at the Highlights of our activities, starting with the Changeover Dinner.

Yours in Rotary,
Leanne
