Dear Fellow Rotarians,
Wow, what an amazing night we all had last Wednesday at the Shangri-La Restaurant.
Thank you so much to Kam Pow for organising the Chinese New Year Celebration and Fundraiser for The Monash Children's Cancer Centre.
This is what Rotary is all about! Getting together, enjoying fellowship and making a difference. The food, as always was absolutely delicious.
The most exciting news is that we raised $8,305.00 - thanks to the generosity of dinner guests and some of our Rotarians and friends who were unable to be at the event.
I am hopeful we can increase the funds for donation to the Children's Cancer Centre to $10,000 from further donations and extra funding from our Club.
Our next meeting on Tuesday 14th February will be at the Dandenong Club at 6.30 for a 7pm start.
I have asked Howard De Zylva to do a 'Behind the Badge' and also to give us an update on the proposed Sri Lankan Orphanage Project.
I will be giving an update on our 'Rotary Year' to date.
If you haven't seen your emails lately, please take the time to check your inbox.
Kam and I have sent a couple regarding the fundraiser and I have also sent an email with information regarding our visit to RC Rowville Lysterfield on Tuesday 28th February.
Please keep your eye on our Program of events on ClubRunner or on the left side of this newsletter 'The Gateway'.
On a final note, please take the time to respond to events whether you are attending or not.
It's simple to click on the event and register.
Kind regards,
Leanne
