It was with immense sadness that we heard that John Madigan, former independent senator passed away at 53, after a long illness. John was a fierce defender, and perhaps one of the most fervent, of all those that had suffered at the hands of family breakdown.
Former Senator John Madigan was a supporter of Service Clubs and manufacturing and a special relationship with the Rotary Club of Greater Dandenong due to a common interest in the need to reform the Family Courts due to the impacts on children and soaring suicide rates amongst displaced parents.
