Cornerstone patrons Kris, Carol and Ian with Community Studies placement student Sam (second from right), enjoying some drawing at The Art Corner. Hi friends, The Art Corner is back! It has been wonderful to sit at the table with friends, drawing and chatting before our community meal on Tuesdays. After a couple of years that were fraught with interruptions, restrictions and social isolation, many from the community are valuing social connection more than ever, and this relaxed art group is a great way for community members to learn new skills and make some new friends. This month we have again held some special sponsored meals (see below for more details) which have been a real treat for our community. We are so thankful to the organisations and businesses that support Cornerstone in this way. As we approach the Winter months, we know that many from our community will be doing it tough, especially those without a warm place to call home. During this season, it is especially important to provide a warm, safe place for people to have a hot meal, a cuppa and to share a conversation. I really want to thank each of our friends and supporters who help to make this possible. Your care for the vulnerable in our community is such a blessing.
